Billy Update – Shepherd/Husky Dog Tricks
So we have been getting a ton of snow here and I had nothing to do today so decided to make a video update of what Billy and i have been working on!Billy learned/is in the process of learning to throw away trash, clean up toys ect… since in the past we unfortunately trained with aversive training tools, like a remote collar and a triple crown (which is like a prong collar) I decided to give Billy the chance to throw them away because we have found an amazing new way to train in clicker training/positive reinforcement and will never go back to that type of training.A couple other tricks we are working on are crawling backward and bite your tail. Billy is getting better at limping and can now do it at a little bit of a distance from me.
We are also learning side legs up! This is a hard one but Billy is slowly getting it!
We are working on back-chaining a formal retrieve just for fun, and it has been quite a challenge! BIlly can now hold the dumbbell and go into a sit while holding it which was a completely foreign concept to him. We are both learning a ton!
We are also working on an informal retrieve of household objects. In this video my keys, wallet, a glove, and a remote.
